Cater to the reader… what is in it for them

Use ‘You’ and ‘Your’ avoid ‘Me’ and ‘I’.

Readers look for something to gain or profit … don’t waste their time.

Get to the POINT and FAST. Reveal the benefits early and be concise.

Be Simple … Simple makes money!

Simple easy-to-read words are easy to understand. Avoid long sentences and paragraphs. ShortShortShort.

Use a lot of white space.

Remember, the easier it is to read the more money you will make. K.I.S.S.  Profitable info products take a complex idea and make it easy to understand. People LOVE EASY!

Use Sub-Headlines. They are very valuable and help to capture the “skim readers” and draw them in.

Get Your Reader To Take Action!

This can be accomplished by using a call-to-action. This is very highly used in TV advertising and sales letters:

·                     Act Now!

·                     Order Now!

·                     Call Now!

·                     Do It Now!

·                     Take Action Today!

·                     Don’t Waste Time!

These type of statements produce the ‘Impulse Effect’. The reader reacts on impulse. It’s like when you go through a grocery checkout, you see all the gum, chocolate bars, and other stuff like batteries and magazines…these are impulse items to make shoppers buy them on impulse. Not because they need them, just to cater to their desires and impulses.

Paint a Picture In Your Readers Mind. Try to Control What They Are Thinking. Persuade them!

Use as many modalities as possible – Appeal to all the senses….

Do this by using descriptive nouns and verbs the suggest action making the reader feel and act on what you say!

For example, which has more impact?

“Quickly Increase Your Profits Using Our Method”

or…

“Make 247% More Money In Less Than 6 Hours!”

Be clear, direct and explicit! This is how to make your reader act and feel excited.

LASTLY … the only way these methods and suggestions are going to WORK is … You must take ACTION NOW!

Apply these concepts to your newsletter offers, auction titles and descriptions as well as your website copy … and watch interest explode!
